What's the difference between the Butter and the Oil?

The Butter is a deep-conditioning wood conditioning butter for restoring dry, tired boards — a wax and oil blend that sits in and feeds the timber. The Oil is a lighter everyday chopping board oil for regular kitchen use between deep treatments, ideal for boards, bowls and wooden utensils.

Is Timber Revive food safe?

Yes. Both the Butter and the Oil are food safe wood care made from food-grade ingredients, so they're safe for chopping boards, butcher blocks, salad bowls, utensils and worktops that touch food.

How often should I use it?

A few drops of Oil weekly for boards in daily use, and the Butter monthly — or any time the timber starts looking dry, dull or pale.

Does it work on all wood types?

It works on any bare or oiled timber — oak, walnut, maple, acacia, beech. It won't soak into sealed, varnished or lacquered surfaces.

A 100g tin covers a standard chopping board around 20–30 times, and the 100ml bottle handles months of weekly top-ups, so most people get a year or more out of either.
